Integral Sports Management is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Newton as Chief Executive Officer.

Peter Varney, currently Chairman and CEO, will remain as Chairman and work closely with Mike as Integral continues to develop into a leading force in the sports representation and advisory industry.

Mike brings a combination of financial, managerial and sporting experience.  He spent over twenty years working in trading and strategy for several major financial institutions in the UK, Asia and US, beginning his career with the Bank of England.  Most recently he was a Managing Director for Citigroup based in New York.

Mike spent several years as a director of Oldham Athletic and recently advised high net worth US investors on a UK football club acquisition.  He retains strong links with the playing and managerial sides of the game.

Mike said ‘With its ability to provide a unique offering to athletes as a one-stop shop for all their career and personal needs, and the exciting growth we have seen in both our stable of exciting young players and experienced professionals, it was very easy to say yes to joining ISM.  I am grateful to the shareholders for the opportunity.’

‘We need to ensure that we push ahead aggressively in developing our representation business, and also grow other essential pieces such as advisory on football club acquisitions, where we can add tremendous value.  We will be building out even further the support and advice that we provide to our athletes, and their families, as part of our unique offering to them. I look forward to the challenge, which we will meet as a team and develop a business that will over time become the gold standard for a diversified sporting representation and advisory business.’
